In this introductory 4-week class we will explore the fundamentals of hand building with clay. We will begin with an introduction to four different methods of creating - pinching, slab building, coiling and making with molds. With guidance, students will create a variety of functional and decorative pieces using one or more of these hand building methods. We will also introduce surface decorating to elevate the pieces. At the end of the class, you will choose from a variety of beautiful glazes to finish off your oven, microwave and dishwasher safe creations. Classes run on Wednesday evenings, 6-9 pm from October 7 to 28. The cost is $300 plus hst per person. To create the best student experience possible, classes are limited to only 6 participants.
